January is bare root season and last year we planted our first deciduous trees. My how they've grown! From stick to beauty! As you can see from the pictures they didn't lose that many leaves. Interesting. Here are some neat before and afters: This is our best one--a Blenheim Apricot:
Our 2 Desert Gold Peach Trees (can't see them in the before? It's because they were just sticks! They have leafed out very nicely!):
I guess I didn't get a before of our Santa Rosa Plums but my 4 year old took this pic a week ago and I thought it was pretty neat! They grew the slowest but they are getting bigger all the time.
And speaking of some others who have grown in the past year.....(sniff sniff! I might start tearing up--they are getting too big!!!)

And the love of my life! You can see it was a much warmer January last year! And due to all his running and a job that requires peak physical health he actually didn't "grow" this year but got back down to his high school weight---WOW!

Although you can't tell under all that sweater--my E-2 10 mile runner work out machine of a husband!
